Volume contains details of attendance at first aid and nursing lectures, the names of members of the Voluntary Aid Detachment, correspondence regarding inspections, details of income and expenditure (particularly relating to first aid training and uniforms), correspondence regarding submitting information about the detachment to the County Director, recruitment to the detachment in preparation for an invasion (1911), the collection of subscriptions to support the work of the detachment including the provision of an auxiliary hospital at Overstrand, the establishment of a YMCA canteen, correspondence regarding the demobilisation of voluntary aid detachments at the end of the First World War, work with Belgian refugees and the award of medals after the war.
