The covering dates of entries in the volume are 1913-1919 but there are several enclosures dating up to 1952.





The volume contains minutes from the first meeting of the division on 8 Jan 1913 and refers to training and examinations, inspections, uniforms, annual competitions, volunteering from service away from home during the First World War, the establishment of a hospital at Oddfellows Hall (including the names of patients and names of staff who worked at the hospital), Our Day and fundraising, working parties, an infant welfare centre, lists of members, lists of attendance at hospitals, donations and the activities of members during the Second World War.





Enclosures include an invoice from the Stores Department of the Joint Council of the Order of St John and the British Red Cross, posters for inter-divisional competitions, a report of the officer in charge of the ambulance during the flood of 1953, an examination paper for an undated nursing exam, a timetable of VAD training activities in 1927, black and white photographs [possibly First World War], an invitation to the opening of the Walsingham and Wells VAD 74 headquarters, a timetable of county competitions in 1927, an application for service awards for Helen Barclay, newspaper cuttings, a tag relating to the opening of the VAD 74 headquarters and the standing orders of the Nofolk County Branch of the Order of St John of Jerusalem and the British Red Cross Society from 1921.
