The minutes of the Plymouth Voluntary Blood Transfusion Service committee dating from their first meeting on 25 May 1937 to the committee's final meeting on 2 April 1960.

The volume also contains press cuttings from the 'Western Morning News' dated 1937 and 1939, including a report of a lecture given in Plymouth on 1 March 1937 by Percy Lane Oliver, Hon Secretary of the British Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service. A letter from Mr Oliver to the Chairman of the Plymouth Committee dated 11 March 1938, concerning arrangements to be made in the event of claims for compensation from donors, is pasted into the back of the book.
