This file consists of correspondence and related documentation regarding the Jordan Red Crescent Society (initially known as the Transjordan Red Crescent Society). It includes correspondence and documentation relating to the official recognition by the International Committee of the Red Cross of the Jordan Red Crescent Society, and assistance from the British Red Cross Society in reinforcing the newly formed Jordan Red Crescent Society. Also included are reports on the work and progress of the Jordan Red Crescent Society by British Red Cross Society members in Jordan. A number of the reports also include photographs of activities such as the presentation of the first Jordan Red Crescent Certificates, and the enrolment of Junior Red Crescent Officers.
