Description
This file consists of correspondence and related documentation regarding the British Red Cross Societies assistance with relief work following conflict in Tibet. Documentation includes press cuttings regarding the conflict in Tibet and the work of the Red Cross, and an account of an International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) mission for relief to Tibetan Refugees in Nepal in August 1960. Also included is a black and white photograph of Red Cross workers in Tibet. The photograph is labelled on the back: 'Lhasa after the Revolt. April 12th 1959'.
