Some of the main events during 1965 were: contributing to the relief effort following a cyclone in East Pakistan following a television appeal; recognition of the Red Cross in Uganda as a national society; arrangemnets concluded to transfer British Red Cross Branches in Sabah, Sarawak and Singapore to the Malaysian Red Cross; andthe formation of a British Red Cross Committee in the Gilbert and Ellice Islands.
