Issues of 'Prisoners of War News', a newsletter produced by the British Red Cross Scottish Branch for dispersal both in prisoner of war camps and within local communities in Scotland.
This newsletter was produced in close association with the North-East of Scotland Prisoners of War Appeal and contains many updates on local fundraising activities in relation to this and the overall Scottish Red Cross (Prisoners of War Fund) and lists of overall donation figures. Issues also contain articles on subjects such as the provision of education in camps, visits to camps, camp conditions, activities for prisoners and food parcels and how to send them; contributions from prisoners such as letters, articles and poems; sports pages and bridge and chess problems; and letters to the editor.
This series is incomplete. Volume I is missing and the number of issues in existence beyond the last currently contained in this series, Volume VI Issue 5, is unknown.
