Description
Black and white photograph dated 17 December 1962 showing 264 buildings erected to accommodate the villagers of Cheskin whose homes has been distroyed by earthquake in September. These were handed over to the Red Lion and Sun Society to be occupied by their new tenants. These houses were some of more than 1,000 built by the British Red Cross in the the earthquake area from funds donated by the British public.
