“Black History Month is as much about celebrating Black people, communities & culture of present and future (Wakanda forevz lols) as it is about our past. It's about remembering WE too, right now, are/will be Black history. I think more than ever BHM 2020 is really, for me, about Black Joy. A moment to pause from the social justice & activism work I've been involved in and make times to celebrate us! We've got to start celebrating, this year has been too filled with grief. PAUSE, CELEBRATE, THEN we get back to business! Black History Month is living my best Black girl life this year.”
