Description
A sketch of a nurse tending to a patient in bed from an album compiled by Mrs Emily Rowe Ballard who undertook Red Cross service during the First World War. She was a trained nurse who was matron at the Enfield VAD Hospitals, Middlesex from 1917-1919. The Hospitals comprised Enfield Hospital in St Marks Road, Bush Hill Park and Elm House.
