Description
A color lithograph fundraising poster produced for the Joint War Committee, 1915. Inscribed with "Help/Him/A/collection will be made for the/British Red [Cross] Societies/at this church/on sunday 2nd., Jany 1916/Help the wounded!/British Red Cross Society The Order of St John of Jerusalem in England." The poster depicts an injured soldier in the foreground wearing an arm sling and head bandage. Red Cross ambulance and troops in the background. Postage label stuck to the reverse from the British Red Cross Society, Pall Mall, London, to Mr Revd Rector, Our Lady of the Rosary, Burnt Lane, Guernsey. Postmarked 23 December 1915.
