Black and white photograph entitle episode 1 with caption: "A general view of the mobile unit in action. On the left of the picture a patient on a stretcher is being treated for shock and on the right a small boy receives attention for his injured knee. The van in the backround carries all the cupboards and medical supplies shown in the picture and all the equipment can be set up, ready for use in 3½ minutes. The unit carries a male driver and attendant. The men lift out the heavy boxes and cupboards and the nurses display the varied requisites for instant action. In this picture Miss Ward is acting as the patient."
