Brassard with cloth emblem and stamp of the 'British National Society for Aid to Sick and Wounded in War' and 'Sec of State War Department'; 'Royal Commissioner and Military Inspector of the Voluntary Nursing Service' [German]. On the reverse is the name 'Smith, Challis' written in ink and the number '24' written within the stitching of the emblem.
