Description
Meltis Plain Chocolate Vitamised label. Chocolate was constantly asked for by prisoners. From 1943, it was fortified with vitamin A. Early in 1944, the "relief chocolate", issued to the Services, replaced the former type to save manufacturing two kinds. "Relief chocolate", although having lower vitamin A content was considerably richer in calcium and vitamins B and C.
