Small woollen doll dressed as King George V in his Coronation robes; trousers, top, and cape trimmed with fur; wearing a jeweled crown; beaded decoration across chest; carrying gold sceptre.

This type of doll, called a 'Wooly', was made by the Vancouver Prisoners of War Branch, Canadian Red Cross as a fundraiser during the First World War. According to the price list from the time, (ref: 2010/1) King George V was sold at $1.00.
