Description
Small woollen doll dressed as a Scottish bagpiper and wearing a kilt. There is a small safety pin on the back so it can be worn as a brooch.

History
This type of doll is called a 'Wooly' and was made by the Vancouver Prisoners of War Branch, part of the Canadian Red Cross. Sales of these dolls was used to fundraise during the First World War. On the price list (ref: 2010/1) this doll was called a 'Kiltie' was sold at $0.25.
