Description
Brass and wooden shield featuring the badge of Lancashire County Council presented to Countess Limerick on the 11th July 1991.
Badge of Lancashire County Council: grey background with lion either side a central red 'w' with a smaller lion sat on a golden leaf above and a white scroll with the words, 'In Concilo Consilium' below. Below the badge is a gold scroll with the words 'Lancashire County Council' and above is a brass plaque inscribed with the words 'Presented to Countess Limerick CBE. MA. Chairman of the Council of the British Red Cross on the occasion of her visit to the Annual General Meeting of the Lancashire Branch 11th July 1991'.

With accompanying note written for Her Honour Judge M Hold who presented the plaque. The accompanying note reads, 'This plaque was given to Lancashire to present to Lady Limerick in recognition of the voluntary work, help and assistance the British Red Cross has given to Lancashire County Council.
