History
One of Autism and ADHD’s most significant social action projects during the EmpowHER programme was the creation of a memorial garden. They were all passionate about the environment and liked the idea of planting trees in a communal space but also wanted to support their local community during the Covid-19 lockdown. Combining these themes, they came up with the idea of a memorial garden with a bench dedicated to people in Ipswich (where they are located) who lost loved ones during the pandemic. They went on to install multiple rainbow benches and a memorial rock circle.
