Description
Heidi explains her inspiration for the patch she designed, saying, "A while before, I had been out on a walk and [had] seen a moth or butterfly and [I] took [a] photo... Something really struck me about this insect just enjoying the wonderful environment, so I wanted to remind people about what is important."
Heidi hopes that people will read all the quotes and phrases on the quilt because each of them may touch people differently. "I hope they feel encouraged and uplifted when they see the joy in it and enjoy reading it. There's something special when a group of people, a community, do something, and I think that can give hope and inspiration. All of the messages can inspire people in different ways, whether that's to go and do something themselves or in another way."

History
Heidi was a Youth Worker for the Young People Cornwall youth group.
Throughout the EmpowHER programme, Heidi supported two different groups from Young People Cornwall and attended numerous virtual Role Model Events orgnaised by the British Red Cross. These events involved guest speakers talking about many topics, including body image, period poverty, anti-racism, and climate change. As well as young women and girls being able to learn from these events, youth workers like Heidi also found the sessions insightful.
